The exact type of accommodation available varies between the different locations we offer in Spain. However, as a general rule accommodation can be split into the following types:
This is where you stay with a Spanish host family. From a language learning perspective this is the best way to ensure that you are maximising your exposure to Spanish, not only during class time, but also after class, in the home. Also, it is a fantastic way to get an insight into how a typical Spanish family lives on a day-to-day basis. You may be the only student staying there, but some host families do also offer to host more than one student. If is is especially important to you that you are the only student staying with the family, please let us know at the time of booking. Likewise, if you do want to stay with a host family, but would prefer to be staying with a family where there is also another student, please also inform us of this.
This is where you share an apartment with other students. Depending on the location, these may either be students from the same school or not. If you especially wish to stay in a student flat with students from the same school, please make sure that you mention this at the time of booking so that we can ensure your needs are met. This is a self-catering option so it is the perfect choice if you would rather prepare your own meals, and like the flexibility to decide what time to eat.
In a similar way as the shared student apartment option above, student residence accommodation means that you will share the residence with other students. Depending on the location, the student residence may either be on the same location as the school (on-site) or not (off-site). Self catering is not normally an option and the norm is to choose either:
Typically a residence may include additional facilities such as a swimming pool (seasonal), gym or communal games / TV room. The residence facilities vary according to the location so if you have any doubts whatsoever, please check the relevant webpage for that location, or if you prefer, simply contact us.
These are private individual studio apartments suitable for one or two people. If you are travelling with a friend or partner you can choose the twin option. Please let us know if you require two single beds or one double bed. These are a self-catering option so you have the flexibility to prepare your own meals. Please note that studio apartments are limited, so if it is especially important to you that you have this type of accommodation, we advise you to book with plenty of time to ensure availability.
